2026 Paving & Chip Seal Projects
Primary Roads
County Road 437 (Thunder Lake Road): Project begins at Federal Forest Road 2213 and ends at Federal Forest Road 2438. This project includes new asphalt paving with asphalt curb and spillways.
County Road 455 (Riley Road): Project begins at M-149 and ends at M-149. This is an asphalt overlay project with 1.5 inches of new asphalt being placed over the existing surface.
County Road 432 (North Gulliver Road) & County Road 433 (River Road or Quarry Road): Project begins at US-2 in Gulliver and ends at US-2 near Mueller Township hall. This project is a single layer chip seal and fog seal on top of the existing asphalt.
Local Roads (Hiawatha Township)
Evergreen Drive: Project begins at M-94 and ends at the turnaround. This is a pavement reconstruction project with a new asphalt surface.
Local Roads (Inwood Township)
Clear Lake Road: Project begins at M-94 and ends near the Cowell Lake Campground. This is a pavement reconstruction project with a new asphalt surface.
Local Roads (Manistique Township)
Duck Inn Road & Michibay Drive: Project begins at US-2 and extends to Marblehead Creek on Duck Inn Road then extends south on Michibay Drive and ends near the railroad tracks. This is a pavement reconstruction project with a new asphalt surface.
Local Roads (Doyle Township)
Corbridge Road: Project includes all of Corbridge Road and each access road off of CR-434 (Gulliver Lake Road). This is a pavement reconstruction project with a new asphalt surface.
